The other day I went to see the Alexander Mcqueen’s exhibition at the V&A Savage Beauty , which was just absolutely stunning! will be running until the 2nd of August, but just in case you are wondering if is worthy, I will tell you my experience to make up your mind! 🙂
How I manage to get my tickets was kind of the destiny telling me you can’t miss this exhibition, trust me! Basically last Friday my boyfriend and I were off at work, as it was the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, so we decided to go to Chelsea and visit around and the easiest way was to go to South Kensington and go from there.
Well, as soon as we arrived to South Kensington I saw this book store full of Alexander McQueen pictures all around and I though to myself: “the exhibition must be near here…” and in fact, it was just a few miles away!
I tried to book the tickets online, but every time I checked everything was sold out for the month, so I decided to go inside and check if I could get them on the door (like old times).
As soon as I came in I was amaze by the V&A! the museum looks like an architecture from rome in the middle of London, just beautiful!
After a few minutes, there I was with my tickets in my wallet as if I was carrying gold! (so if you have been trying to buy the tickets online and you are unable to find space, go directly to the V&A, as I’m pretty sure you will be able to get them on the door as I did).
There is only a big turn off…you can’t take pictures …which annoyed me very much since I wanted to show you everything! but I managed to take a few 😉 (you need to ignore the quality of those ones, as I was basically hiding to take them, so I didn’t really see what I was taken…).
Here is a sneak peek,
The exhibition is just amazing, it really gives you goosebumps, the music throughout each room, even the temperature in the rooms is changing, some of the most amazing designs are display on the best posible way in order to makes you feel like you really are in one of his shows.
My friend and I wanted to have a little souvenir of him, and we decided to get this beautiful butterfly,
The closure of the exhibition is a magical hologram of Kate Moss,
I really could not explain you in words the experience, you can only see it through your eyes, and I felt so fortune to be able to say that, in a way, I have lived a Mcqueen show!
Good night Beauties!
