I’m finally back! I know it’s been too long but this past two months I have moved country, changed job, new house and got married (and all of that without even a honeymoon) so I’ve taken a little brake just because I haven’t had a second! but I’ve missed you so much guys…I have so much to tell you, specially about my bid day! So let’s start by My Wedding shoes.
In some parts of Spain, your best friend buy you the shoes on your Wedding and mine didn’t want to be less, so this gorgeous shoes were her present (once again, thank you Mery, you are the best!).
I wanted something special, at the end of the day is your big day and every single detail counts; so my mum heard about this shop Uniqshoes, where you can design the style of the shoe, the colours, the materials and make it your own and the idea sounded great to me, so I created mines there and this is what we chose (Stiletto desigual, 8cm),
Basically, you can either create them online or make an appointment at their shop (free for half an hour and a maximum of 2 people or personalised for one hour and a maximum of 5 people for 40€) bare in mind that this won’t be deducted later even if you buy the shoes.
I decided to choose the personalised one and bring my mum, sister, mother in law and best friend with me, so that we could all choose and design the shoes together.
You know that I am always honest with you…and as excited as I was about choosing my wedding shoes, I have to admit that the whole experience was quite disappointed…
First of all, they don’t have most of the sizes so you can’t try most of the shoes (I think I have a pretty common size, 6 in U.K, 39 in Spain), then, you can only try one shoe (they don’t have pairs), so you can’t really get to feel how it feels to walk on those shoes, but what really disappointed me the most was the treatment we received after our visit…
The lady who assisted us, offered us to personalise the shoes with a message (which normally cost 30€) for free, I thought that it was such a nice gesture, but weeks after, they contacted me from the shop asking me to pay the personalisation, I tried to explained them over thousand of emails and they not only didn’t believe me that also at one point they told me that they would cancel the order otherwise, imaging the stress at just 2 weeks from my actual Wedding!
My mum finally had to go to the shop and show them the receipt that the lady gave us proving that the personalisation was included on the price and only there they apologise to my mum, so you can imaging at that point I didn’t want to cancel the order, but the excitement about this shoes were all gone…
Luckily, the moment we picked them up and I saw the beautiful message my best friend wrote on them, I forgot everything, they were absolutely gorgeous (but I must admit, incredibly painful!),
The message says: “Always with you in the most important moments, love you, Mary”.
At the end of the day, the meaning of the shoes was what really mater to me and this ones will always be special to me,
Happy Monday Beauties!
